Effective Exhibition Design
How do you take a concept and portray it in three dimensional form in a way that it has a strong impact on the observer? Exhibition design is this a constantly evolving area that requires imagination, creativity as well as a knack for touching the nerve of the target audience who are usually highly diverse in their socio-economic outlook. It’s not enough if an exhibit is able to connect with the target audience but it should also force the audience to accept the idea as a whole. In order to achieve this, the exhibition design must integrate various disciplines like graphic design, multimedia, interior design etc. But using the techniques borrowed from knowledge areas guarantees just the superficial beauty of the exhibit.
What really makes the exhibition a success among the audience is the content. So it’s very important that the person designing the exhibition actually believes in the idea that is being promoted. Now this whole process of taking a concept and using various techniques to make it into something tangible requires a plan. So it’s also important that the exhibition designer have good communication and management skills and also some idea about logistics. It is the combination of all these factors that finally makes an exhibition successful.
